2. Series: Greek Goddesses - Introduction

In an increasingly visual world, I felt that I needed to show something of myself, some photos. But what would I want to communicate? A professional portfolio, for LinkedIn and work purposes?  A portfolio with feminist and social and claims?  Naked pics, so as to show that XL bodies can appear in cyberspace and be desirable? Well ... a little bit of all that.

I added rather long epigraphs; I hope to give you more than a photo. I want to take the opportunity and tell you more about me. As I wanted to emphasize that all my expressions and individuality could not be split from my woman status, I chose the Greek goddesses to be part of the composition of the images.
Athena

Years ago I had dabbled in the world of female archetypes by Shinoda Bolen, with her “Goddess in every woman,” published in 1984. This author, analyst and doctor has been driving women to change the world for decades. I also found inspiration in the Spanish anthropologist Manuel Dunn Mascetti, with his book "Goddesses, the embodiment of Eve", beautifully illustrated. What I tried to do is a current recreation of the goddesses, using artistic works as background.

DemeterI put myself in the center of the scene, to achieve, even for a few moments, to be a "woman protagonist." (Who decides the prominence? What criteria is used for dictating which trajectories are more important than others?) After thinking about it, I convinced myself that I could consider myself worthy of that category.
